Ingredients
  

For the Sangria
  • 1 bottle dry white wine Recommended types are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Verdejo.
  • 1 cup sliced oranges For a fruity flavor.
  • 1 cup sliced lemons Adds a refreshing citrus note.
  • 1 medium green apple Can also use peaches or berries.
  • 1/4 cup peach schnapps or elderflower liqueur Optional for added sweetness and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup white grape juice or honey Optional sweetener.
  • 2 cups club soda or lemon-lime soda For fizz before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the oranges, lemons, and green apple; toss them into a large pitcher.
  2. Pour the bottle of dry white wine over the sliced fruit.
  3. Add a splash of peach schnapps or elderflower liqueur.
  4. Stir in white grape juice or honey if desiring additional sweetness.
  5. Chill the mixture for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.
  6. Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda and gently stir.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different fruits or replace club soda with prosecco for a sparkling version. Always taste before serving to gauge sweetness.
