  • 1 stick butter Use real butter, no substitutes
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing or ranch seasoning For added flavor
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder Optional for extra flavor
Optional Add-Ins
  • 2-3 pieces pepperoncini or pickled jalapeƱos For a spicy kick

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  2. Place the seasoned beef in the slow cooker or Instant Pot.
  3. Spread the packet of dry Italian dressing or ranch seasoning over the beef.
  4. Cut the stick of butter into pieces and place on top of the beef.
Cooking
  1. For slow cooker: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  2. For Instant Pot: Cook on high pressure for about 60 minutes, then allow steam to reduce.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, the beef should be tender and shreddable. Serve with the buttery juices.
  2. Optional: Pair with steamed cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or a light salad.
