Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups tortilla chips Thick, sturdy chips hold up best.
  • 1 lb raw shrimp Defrost and pat dry if using frozen shrimp.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Hand grated cheese melts better than pre-grated.
  • 1 cup salsa Do not drown the chips with salsa before baking.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast the tortilla chips in the oven for a few minutes to achieve extra crispiness.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the raw shrimp for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Layer the nachos on a baking sheet, spreading out chips, then cheese, and finally the cooked shrimp.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve with additional toppings such as salsa, lime juice, or hot sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding lime juice or Tajín seasoning to the shrimp. You can swap shrimp with leftover grilled chicken or roasted veggies. These nachos are customizable; feel free to experiment with different cheese or toppings.
