Ingredients
  

Nachos Base
  • 4 cups tortilla chips Use thick, sturdy tortilla chips for best results.
Shrimp Preparation
  • 1 pound raw shrimp Frozen shrimp can be used; just defrost and pat dry.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For tossing the shrimp.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Tajín seasoning Optional for extra flavor.
Cheese Topping
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Hand-grated cheese melts better. Use your choice of cheese.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup salsa Add before baking, but use sparingly to avoid sogginess.
  • 1 cup sour cream For drizzling on top after baking.
  • 1 cup black beans Optional, for added fiber.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using frozen shrimp, defrost them by running them under cold water and patting dry thoroughly.
  3. Toss the shrimp with olive oil, lime juice, and Tajín seasoning.
  4. Bake tortilla chips in the oven for 3-5 minutes until crispy.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, sauté the seasoned shrimp over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Layer the crispy tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the chips.
  4. Add cooked shrimp on top of the cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and top with your preferred salsa, sour cream, and black beans.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

To prevent soggy nachos, do not overload with salsa before baking. Feel free to experiment with toppings and cheese varieties as desired. Enjoy them hot for the best flavor.
