Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta Or any pasta of your choice
For the Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter Use unsalted for a milder flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with milk, but cream is best
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best results
  • 1 clove garlic Minced, optional for flavor
For the Chicken
  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken Shredded or chopped
Seasonings
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • a pinch nutmeg Optional, for flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil salted water in a pot and cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and add heavy cream over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  4. Shred or chop the rotisserie chicken and add it to the creamy sauce, stirring to combine.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the sauce, mixing well until noodles are coated.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, with extra grated cheese if desired.

Notes

Great served with garlic bread, steamed vegetables, or a side salad. Can easily be adapted by adding veggies to the pasta.
