Ingredients

For the Honey-Garlic Glaze
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic A messy spoonful is fine, no need for perfect chopping.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Can be substituted with tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Salmon
  • 2 fillets salmon Skin-on is recommended to avoid falling apart.
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil For greasing the pan.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil to make the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and drizzle in a teaspoon of olive oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Gently flip the salmon and brush or spoon the honey-garlic glaze over the top.
  4. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is sticky.
Serving
  1. Let the salmon rest for a minute after cooking before serving.
  2. Pair with rice, salad, or roasted vegetables as desired.

Notes

For best results, avoid walking away while cooking to prevent burning the glaze. If using thicker salmon, cover the pan with a lid after glazing to ensure it cooks evenly. Leftovers can be used in wraps or salads.
