Preparation
- Heat a large frying pan or wok until almost smoking.
- Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula. Let it brown for flavor.
- Once browned, toss in chopped onions and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.
- Add shredded cabbage and any other vegetables you have on hand. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and sugar or honey. Toss and stir well.
- Cook until everything is hot and the cabbage is wilted but still crisp. Do not overcook.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with green onions or toasted sesame seeds.
Notes
Leftovers taste even better the next day. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Do not freeze as cabbage will become mushy.
