Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs Thighs are recommended for juiciness.
  • 1 pkg pre-made gnocchi The ready-to-cook variety from the grocery store.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup chicken broth For added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup cheese Any cheese of your choice (optional).
  • to taste salt and pepper To season chicken and sauce.
  • to taste paprika Optional spice for flavor.

Method

Cooking
  1. Start by browning the chicken pieces in a large skillet over medium heat, seasoned with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Once the chicken is golden and cooked through, set it aside on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook briefly, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the gnocchi directly to the pan and allow them to brown for a few minutes until golden and chewy.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then return the chicken to the skillet.
  6. Simmer until the sauce thickens and the gnocchi are soft but still have a slight bite.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top, stir to coat, and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or a splash of lemon juice.

Notes

For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to keep the gnocchi soft. Avoid freezing gnocchi as it tends to become mushy.
