  • 1 pound ground beef Can swap for turkey
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted for brushing
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 can pre-made pizza dough The kind in a can works in a pinch
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • pinch mixed herbs Oregano, parsley, or whatever you like
  • optional crumbled cooked bacon For a smoky kick
  • to taste pickles or thin sliced onions Optional for classic cheeseburger flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a frying pan with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan but be careful not to burn it.
  4. Drain any extra grease from the beef.
  5. Stir in shredded cheese while the beef is still hot, allowing it to melt.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough and spread the beef and cheese mixture evenly.
  7. Roll the dough into a jelly roll shape, slice thick pieces, and lay them in a baking dish.
  8. Brush the rollups with melted butter mixed with garlic and sprinkle herbs on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let rollups rest for a minute before serving.
  2. Serve with ketchup, spicy mayo, garlic aioli, honey-mustard, or salsa as dipping sauces.

Notes

Don't overstuff the dough; they need space to rise. Leftovers reheat well and can be frozen.
