Ingredients
  

For the Muffins
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Scoop the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
Baking
  1. Bake the muffins for about 15-18 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the muffins cool for a few minutes, then dip the tops in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
