- Peel and dice the potatoes into uniform 1-inch pieces.
- Place potatoes in the slow cooker and sprinkle with ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, and bacon.
- Pour broth over the mixture until potatoes are submerged.
- Cover and cook on Low for 7–8 hours or High for 4 hours.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Partially blend with an immersion blender if a smoother texture is desired.
- Serve warm with additional toppings as garnishes.
