Ingredients
  

For the breading
  • 1 cup seasoned flour For dredging the fish.
  • 2 large eggs Beaten for the egg dip.
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs For excellent crunch.
For the fish
  • 4 fillets mild white fish (like cod, tilapia, or haddock) Pat dry before breading.
  • 1 tablespoon paprika For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for a bit of heat.
  • oil spray oil spray For spritzing the fish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Thaw the fish fillets if frozen and pat them completely dry.
  2. Set up three plates: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten eggs, and another with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each fish fillet through the flour, then the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to the highest setting for a few minutes.
  2. Place the breaded fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  3. Spritz the fish with oil spray and set the timer.
  4. Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, checking for doneness at the 8-minute mark.
  5. If desired, flip the fish for an additional minute for extra crunch.
  6. Serve immediately to maintain crispiness.

Notes

Serve with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, coleslaw, or air-fried fries. Can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free breadcrumbs and flour.
