Preparation
- Preheat your pan over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix ground meat with ranch dressing until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form into 4 patties, slightly thinner than desired as they will plump while cooking.
- If using, prepare bacon in the oven for even crispness.
- Shred cheese if necessary, and prepare all toppings.
Cooking
- Cook the patties in the hot pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Add cheese on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- While patty cooks, prepare buns by toasting if desired.
Assembly
- Place the cooked patty on the bun.
- Layer with crispy bacon, green onions, and jalapeños if desired.
- Drizzle with additional ranch dressing before closing the burger.
Notes
Make ahead by forming patties a day in advance and store in the refrigerator. For a quick lunch, freeze the uncooked patties.
