Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Baking
- Stir the dry mix into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overwork.
- Spread half of the batter in a greased 8x8-inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the batter.
- Dollop the remaining batter on top and swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Glazing
- Once cool, drizzle powdered sugar glaze over the top.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped bars.
