Ingredients
  

  • 2 large frozen bananas peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or cacao powder
  • 1-2 Medjool dates or 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup non-dairy milk almond, oat, or coconut
  • Optional toppings: banana slices extra peanut butter, chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, granola

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Tamper
  • spatula

Method
 

  1. Add the frozen bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, dates, vanilla, and milk into a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on low to start, then increase to high speed.
  3. Use a tamper to push the ingredients into the blades to ensure a thick consistency.
  4. Stop blending as soon as the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Scoop into a bowl and add your choice of toppings.
  6. Serve immediately.
