Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, smash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add melted butter and mix well.
- Stir in the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and baking soda.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Notes
To store, wrap in foil or plastic wrap. Keep at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for longer storage. For freezing, slice and wrap tightly. It reheats well in the microwave or toaster oven.
