  • 1 whole rotisserie chicken, shredded Can substitute with cooked leftover chicken or turkey
  • 2 cups jarred marinara sauce Your favorite brand
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese For topping
  • 1 cup buttery panko or crushed croutons For crunch
  • 1 tablespoon Italian herbs Optional, for additional flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Chop the rotisserie chicken and place it in a baking dish.
  3. Pour the jarred marinara sauce over the chicken, mixing to combine.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of the sauce, ensuring it's well-covered.
  5. Evenly distribute the buttery panko or crushed croutons on top.
  6. If desired, add a sprinkle of Italian herbs over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier topping, you can broil for another 2 minutes at the end of baking. Pair it with a green vegetable or salad for a complete meal. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
