Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet and/or milk chocolate chips Feel free to mix in nuts for variation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugars together until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from oven and let the cookies rest on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chilling the dough for an hour or two before baking results in thicker cookies. Avoid overmixing to keep them soft and chewy. For best results, use fresh ingredients.
