Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded Can use leftover rotisserie chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened For a creamier filling
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Use your favorite cheese, such as cheddar or pepper jack
  • 1 tsp ranch dressing Optional for added flavor
  • 1 cup finely chopped spinach Optional for added nutrition
  • 4 oz bacon bits or chopped cooked bacon Optional for extra flavor
For assembly
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough The standard eight-pack works best

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, ranch dressing, spinach, and bacon bits until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Assembly
  1. Scoop a large spoonful of the filling onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  2. Roll the dough up from the wide end to the skinny end and pinch the edges to seal.
Baking
  1. Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden and puffy.
  2. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge until ready to bake. They can also be frozen for later use.
