  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Use fresh, not frozen
  • 8 leaves fresh mint leaves Strip leaves just before using
  • 2 oz white rum Choose a clean and smooth variety
  • 1 fresh lime Freshly squeezed is best
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup Can use regular sugar if preferred
  • 1 splash club soda Add last to keep fizzy
  • 1 cup ice Ice for serving

Preparation
  1. In a glass, muddle the blueberries and mint leaves gently until the berries start to break down.
  2. Add the juice of one lime and the simple syrup. Stir to combine.
  3. Fill the glass with ice and pour in the white rum.
  4. Top off with a splash of club soda and give it a gentle stir.
  5. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Keep the glass chilled in the freezer before serving. For extra flavor, roll the lime before cutting to maximize juice extraction.
