  • 1 cup Fresh blueberries Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor.
  • 10 leaves Fresh mint leaves Strip the leaves right before using for best flavor.
  • 2 oz White rum Choose a clean and smooth white rum.
  • 1 large Lime Freshly squeezed lime juice is preferable.
  • 1 tbsp Simple syrup Simple syrup blends in easier than regular sugar.
  • 1 cup Club soda Add last to keep the fizz.
  • 2 cups Ice Chill the glass before serving.

Preparation
  1. In a glass, muddle together the blueberries and mint leaves until the berries release their juice.
  2. Add the lime juice and simple syrup, and gently mix to combine.
  3. Fill the glass with ice, then pour the white rum over the top.
  4. Top with club soda and stir gently.
  5. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired and serve.

Notes

For best results, chill your glass in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before pouring the drink. Avoid crushing the mint too much to prevent bitterness.
